Cristiano Ronaldo Diagnosed with Viral Infection, Misses AFC Champions League Match

Al Nassr has announced that Cristiano Ronaldo is sidelined due to a viral infection. The Saudi Pro League club disclosed this development in a statement released on Sunday.
Ronaldo’s illness means he will miss Al Nassr’s upcoming AFC Champions League fixture against Al-Shorta in Iraq. This is a significant setback for Al Nassr, who have already lost four points in their first three Saudi Pro League games.
The statement from the club read: “Cristiano Ronaldo, the captain of Al Nassr, is unwell and has been diagnosed with a viral infection. The team’s medical staff has advised that he rest at home. Consequently, he will not be traveling with the squad to Iraq today. We wish him a swift recovery.”
