Dangote Group Refutes Claims of Selling Crude Stocks, Confirms August Petrol Production

The Dangote Refinery, a multi-billion dollar project, is not selling off the crude oil it has received and remains on track to produce petrol by August, as scheduled. This clarification came from a senior executive at the group in response to a news agency report alleging the refinery was seeking buyers for its crude stock.
Speaking anonymously to THEWILL on Friday night, the executive dismissed the report as a fabrication by “saboteurs targeting our 650,000 barrels per day refinery. It is baseless and likely originates from individuals who prefer to continue importing petrol from their refinery in Malta.”
The executive assured that the group will release a formal statement to refute the report.
