EFCC Conducts Raids in Abuja, Arrests 40 Alleged Fraudsters

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) announced on Friday that its operatives have detained 40 individuals suspected of engaging in fraudulent activities in Abuja. Dele Oyewale, the agency’s spokesperson, issued a statement detailing the arrests.

According to Oyewale, 18 suspects were apprehended in the Dawaki area, while the remaining 22 were arrested at various other locations across the capital. The operation was based on credible intelligence regarding their involvement in internet fraud.

Items confiscated from the suspects include 23 mobile phones, 4 laptops, and 4 vehicles. The EFCC confirmed that the suspects will face charges once the investigation into their alleged activities is completed.
