EFCC releases names of 303 online scammers that were imprisoned between September and November
The separate convictions which were posted on the EFCC official Facebook page showed that the internet fraudsters were sentenced by Courts in Kano, Lagos, Kaduna, Benin, Ilorin, Anambra, Oyo, Ogun, Port Harcourt, Ogun, Maiduguri, Makurdi, Calabar and Abuja respectively.
The most recent report in November was the conviction of two Internet Fraudsters, Benjamin Udeagwu and Benjamin Olamide, by a Kano State High Court for internet-related offences. The accused were sentenced to three years imprisonment.
On October 13, Justice Nnamdi Dimkpa of the Federal High Court sitting in Awka, Anambra State, also jailed 25 internet fraudsters after they pleaded guilty to the one-count separate charge bordering on impersonation.
Similarly, on October 17, Justices Mahmoud Abdulgafar and Justice Adenike Akinpelu of the Kwara State High Court in Ilorin sentenced five persons to different jail terms for internet – related offences.
On October 18, Justice Efe Ikponmwonba of the Edo State High Court, Benin City, likewise sentenced 26 Internet fraudsters to different prison terms.
In a related development, Justice Efe Ikponmwonba of the State High Court, Benin City, Edo State, between October 24 and 25, convicted and sentenced 13 internet fraudsters to different jail terms

Also, on October 24, Justice P. I. Ajoku of the Federal High Court, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, sentenced an internet fraudster, Kelvin Ifeanyi to one -year jail term based on a one-count charge bordering on obtaining money under false pretence contrary to Section 1(1) (a) of the Advance Fee Fraud and other Fraud Related Offences Act, 2006 and punishable under Section 1(3) of the same Act.
In the same vain sometime in September, Justice O Adelaja of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT High Court, Kubw
a, sentenced 15 internet fraudsters to various jail terms, while Justice N.U. Sadiq of the Kaduna State High Court, too, sentenced one Miracle Ezeochia to two years imprisonment on one-count charge of cheating by impersonation.
Five internet fraudsters, including a female, were in like manner convicted for internet fraud by Justice N.U Sadiq of the Kaduna State High Court, Kaduna.
In the same month, 15 internet fraudsters were jailed by Justice M. Itsueli of Edo State High Court, Benin-City for internet fraud and obtaining under false pretences.
