Emmi Wuks: See Country Benue Man Riding Bicycle To US Reaches

In a remarkable feat of endurance and purpose, Nigerian cyclist Emmi Wuks has successfully arrived in Cotonou, Benin Republic, marking a significant milestone in his ambitious bicycle journey from Nigeria to the United States.

Emmi, who hails from Benue State, embarked on the journey just three days ago with the goal of raising awareness and support for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Nigeria. His mission, he says, is not only about testing personal limits, but about drawing global attention to the struggles faced by displaced communities back home.

Sharing an update on his official Facebook page, Emmi reflected on the challenging weather conditions he encountered during the leg of the trip from Seme to Cotonou.

> “It’s been a heavy downpour since morning — the roads are soaked, the skies are grey, but the mission is alive,” he wrote. “Through the rain, through the rough, your support is my strength. Every message, every share, every prayer pushes me forward.”
He concluded the post with a message of gratitude in French:
> “Salut Cotonou, merci pour l’accueil” (Hello Cotonou, thank you for the warm welcome).
This extraordinary journey, which spans continents and symbolizes determination and solidarity, has already begun to capture public attention online. Emmi’s campaign blends adventure with advocacy, reminding many of the power of individual effort in confronting national challenges.
As he continues pedaling toward his final destination in the United States, supporters are encouraged to follow and amplify his message — not just for the inspiration he offers, but for the voices he rides for.
