A female suicide bomber attacked a wedding in Gwoza, Borno State, setting off an improvised explosive device (IED) that resulted in multiple deaths and injuries among the guests.
According to a witness, the bomber carried a baby on her back when she entered the venue and detonated the IED.
The incident occurred at Tashan Mararaba near the Fire Service in Gwoza town.
While the precise death toll is still unclear, many injured individuals are currently being treated at the General Hospital in Gwoza, including the witness.
Security agencies have not yet issued a statement regarding the incident.
