Fr Alia Recovers Expensive Cars from Ortom’s Property
FCG reports that Asset recovery committee set up by the Benue state Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has stormed one of the property belonging to the immediate past Governor Samuel Ortom and carted away exotic cars.
FCG Recalled that Governor Alia, in June 2023, set up a committee, headed by Hingah Biem to, among other things, ascertain all assets of the government including lands, vehicles, houses, furniture and other machinery, with a view to recovering them.
According to report by SUNNEWSONLINE, the committee, on Tuesday afternoon, stormed the ex Governor’s automobile workshop located along Makurdi/Otukpo road where they took away the vehicles.
Unconfirmed sources said the committee sent towing truck to cart away the vehicles after attempts to drive them away failed.
More details to come as the incident was still ongoing as at the time of reporting and no committee member was available for comments.
