We warmly invite all Ipetu-Ijesa residents, both at home and abroad, to participate in the exciting events planned for Aropeju Day 2024. Let’s come together to honor our heritage and support our community with a week filled with activities designed to uplift and engage everyone.

 

Event Schedule:

Day 1: Monday, 28/10/2024

 

9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.: General Cleaning of the Town

Venue: Ipetu-Ijesa Township

Open to all residents

 

11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.: Beautification of the Town

Involvement: Youths, Boys Scouts, Girls Brigade

 

Day 2: Tuesday, 29/10/2024

 

10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.: Venue Clearing and Landscaping

Location: Ajalaye’s Palace Square

Open to all citizens

 

Day 3: Wednesday, 30/10/2024

 

9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.: IWURE

Venue: Ajalaye Palace Square

 

10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.: Agriculture Lecture on Sustainable Practices

Venue: Ipetu-Ijesa Town Hall

 

Day 4: Thursday, 31/10/2024

 

9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.: Medical and Health Screening

Venue: Halleluya Hall

 

2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.: Cultural Program

Venue: Ipetu-Ijesa Town Hall

 

4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.: Ayo Competition Final

Venue: Ajalaye Palace Square

 

 

Day 5: Friday, 1/11/2024

 

9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.: Education and Youth Program

Venue: Ipetu-Ijesa Town Hall

 

1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.: Jumat Service

Venue: Ansa-udeen Central Mosque

 

4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.: Oba’s Cup Final

Venue: Ipetu-Ijesa Grammar School Playground

 

7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.: Musical Entertainment

Venue: Ajalaye’s Palace Square

 

 

Day 6: Saturday, 2/11/2024

 

10:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.: Arrival of Community and Guests

Venue: Ajalaye’s Palace Square

 

10:45 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.: Kabiyesi’s Ceremony

 

11:15 a.m. – 12:45 p.m.: Prayers, Speeches, and Cultural Entertainment

 

12:45 p.m. – 2:05 p.m.: Fundraising for Palace Building Complex

 

2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.: Homage and Cultural Displays

 

4:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.: Musical Entertainment and Festivities

 

 

Day 7: Sunday, 3/11/2024

 

10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.: Thanksgiving Service

Venue: All Churches
