How Bandit Leader Dogo Gide Offers Protection to Farmers in Zamfara

Residents of Magami in Gusau Local Government Area, Zamfara State, are rejoicing over the arrival of Dogo Gide, a well-known bandit leader.

According to FIRST CLASS GISTS, Gide has advised farmers to return to their fields, promising them safety from abductions.

Previously involved in the kidnapping of students from a public school in Kuriga, Kaduna State, Gide was reportedly injured by troops from Operation Hadarin Daji (OPHD) on March 12 in the Madada forest, Maru Local Government Area, Zamfara State, just days after the Kuriga incident.

Following his clash with the military, Gide moved to Kizara, located on the eastern edge of Magami, and took control of the area.

He assured farmers they could go back to their farms without the fear of being kidnapped or having their property seized.

A resident told FIRST CLASS GISTS, “Dogo Gide has settled in Kizara after his military encounter and has taken control of the surrounding areas. He has instructed farmers to return to their fields without fearing abductions or property seizures.”

A new song shared with Premium Times, released in June by unidentified singers purportedly from Tsafe, praises Gide for his relocation and the subsequent revival of farming activities.

Residents are celebrating the cessation of kidnappings and killings, with farmlands that had been abandoned for over four years now being cultivated again after Gide’s assurances.
