How Bandits kidnap 26 Villagers , Rustle Cows in Niger
Bandits have allegedly kidnapped at least 26 individuals from various communities in Niger State. The incidents occurred on Sunday and Monday in the Mashegu and Shiroro Local Government Areas.
Reports indicate that a village named Adogo Malam was invaded, resulting in the abduction of six people. On Monday, another attack took place in Tunga Kawo, a village three kilometers from Mashegu, where 20 people were abducted, and several cows were stolen.
As of now, the bandits have not contacted the families of the kidnapped individuals, and their locations remain unknown.
Malam Hussain Ibrahim, the Public Relations Officer of the Niger State Emergency Management Agency (NSEMA), confirmed the incidents. He stated, “The agency has received reports of ongoing banditry in Shiroro and Mashegu LGAs. On Sunday, six people were kidnapped from Adogo Malam in Mashegu, and on Monday, 20 people were taken from Tunga Kawo in Erena, Shiroro, along with hundreds of cows.”
