Gunmen
In a tragic incident in Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State, a woman named Mrs. Rose Eneojoh was murdered by gunmen on the night of September 10, 2024, in Etikpolo Anyigba.
The assailants, believed to be hired hitmen, revealed to the victim and her family that they had been paid 200,000 Naira to carry out the killing. According to a Facebook post by a family member, Charles Umoru, Mrs. Eneojoh attempted to negotiate for her life by offering the same amount of money to the attackers. Despite accepting the money, the gunmen proceeded to shoot her, leaving her husband and five children devastated.
Umoru’s post expressed deep concern about the escalating violence in Igala Land, questioning how much longer such atrocities will con
tinue.
