How Seven Women and Nine Children Rescued from Kidnappers in Borno

Troops of the Nigerian Army, in a series of coordinated counter-terrorism operations in Borno State, have rescued seven women and nine children who were kidnapped by terrorists.

 

The operations, conducted in collaboration with the Vigilante and Hybrid Force, resulted in the death of one terrorist and the recovery of various arms and ammunition. The Army announced the success of the mission in a statement posted on X.com on Friday.

 

The statement detailed, “In Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State, troops executed an ambush targeting terrorist staging areas around Pulka and Ashagashiya. During the operations, troops engaged the terrorists, neutralizing one while the others fled, abandoning their belongings. The troops successfully rescued seven women and nine children from the
