How Troops Neutralize Terrorists in Borno, Recover Weapons and Equipment in Pulka–Kirawa Operation

Troops under Operation Hadin Kai recorded a successful engagement along the Pulka–Kirawa axis in Borno State, neutralising two terrorists and seizing a cache of weapons and field equipment during a confrontation earlier this week.
According to reliable sources who spoke with Zagazola Makama, the clash occurred as troops intercepted a group of insurgents attempting to cross toward the Dar-Jamal area near Miyanti. The encounter escalated into a gun battle, resulting in the deaths of two militants, while several others reportedly fled with gunshot wounds.
Following the operation, troops recovered multiple items believed to be used by the insurgents for tactical mobility and communication. The seized materials included AK-47 rifles with loaded magazines, motorcycles, Baofeng radios, mobile phones, medical drips, hard drugs, and portable solar panels—equipment likely intended to support prolonged field activity.
Pursuit operations are still underway, as troops continue to track down the fleeing fighters as part of a wider counterinsurgency effort across the region.
Operation Hadin Kai remains committed to maintaining pressure on terrorist elements in the northeast, working to dismantle their networks and secure key mobility corridors.
