I went through hell – Jamie Foxx gives his first public update after recovery
FCG reports that American Actor Jamie Foxx has shared an update on his recovery since his hospitalization in April where he had an unspecified “medical complication”.
FCG gathered from a three-minute video he posted on his Instagram on Friday, July 21.
He said;
“I went through something I never thought I would go through. I know a lot of people [were] waiting or wanting to hear an update, but to be honest with you, I didn’t want you to see me like that man”
The Oscar-winning actor didn’t reveal details of the health condition he suffered. He said he didn’t make his condition public because he didn’t want people to see him in that state.
“I know a lot of people were waiting or wanting to hear updates but to be honest with you, I just didn’t want you to see me like that man. I want you to see me laughing, having a good time partying, cracking a joke, doing a movie, television show. I didn’t want you to see me with tubes running out of me and trying to figure out if I was gonna make it through.”
The God Is a Bullet actor went on to share his appreciation for his sister and daughter and their support throughout his recovery, saying they “saved my life.”
“To them, to God, to a lot of great medical people, I’m able to leave you this video,” he added. “I cannot tell you how great it feels to have your family kick in in such a way, and y’all know they kept it airtight, they didn’t let nothing out, they protected me, and that’s what I hope that everyone could have in moments like these.”
