K-RAD Speaks: A Vision Rooted in Action and Results

Published by on November 19th, 2025.

*K-RAD Speaks: A Vision Rooted in Action and Results*

Kunle Rasheed Adegoke, popularly known as K-RAD, SAN, cuts the image of a man on a mission. In this exclusive interview, the governorship hopeful speaks with rare conviction about his blueprint for Osun State’s transformation, a vision that blends idealism with pragmatic action.

With an agenda anchored on land reform, agricultural expansion, local government autonomy, tourism revival, and grassroots empowerment, K-RAD insists his aspiration is not about personal ambition or regional sentiment.

“My aspiration is not about where I come from; it’s about what I can deliver,” he says calmly, yet firmly.

*Land Reform and Agricultural Revolution*

For K-RAD, Osun’s future lies in the soil. He believes the key to unlocking rural prosperity is comprehensive land reform that gives farmers access to titled, prepared, and productive land.

“The biggest obstacle to commercial farming in Osun today is land, not the absence of it, but the lack of structured access to it,” he explains.

Under his plan, the state will collaborate with communities to aggregate scattered farmlands into larger, economically viable blocks, while ensuring families retain ownership and benefit from equity. His administration, he adds, will sponsor free land surveys and free Certificates of Occupancy so that farmers can use their lands as collateral for bank credit or partnerships.

To further ease the burden, the government will handle expensive groundwork, clearing, ploughing, and opening access roads, before allocating land to cooperatives and agripreneurs.

“We will turn scattered farmlands into engines of prosperity,” K-RAD promises.

The expected outcome is clear: increased arable land, mechanised farming, private sector investment, job creation, and ultimately, food security for Osun people.

*Two Cows, One Household- The Dairy Revolution*

If elected, K-RAD intends to make dairy farming a household enterprise. His ambitious “Two Cows, One Household” policy, he insists, is neither fanciful nor far-fetched.

“It is practical, profitable, and possible,” he says with a smile. “If India built wealth through smallholder dairy farming, Osun can do even better with structure and technology.”

The model is simple: introduce hybrid, high-yield dairy breeds suited to the region; form household cooperatives for shared resources; provide government support through subsidised feed and veterinary care; establish milk collection centres managed by private processors; and guarantee regular off-take to ensure steady income.

For K-RAD, the initiative is more than an agricultural programme, it’s a socioeconomic empowerment tool that will increase household income, create a new dairy value chain, and strengthen rural economies.

*“Baba Autonomy” and Local Government Freedom*

Few politicians in Osun are as passionate about grassroots governance as K-RAD. His long-standing advocacy for local government independence has earned him the nickname “Baba Autonomy.”

He sees local government autonomy not as a slogan, but as the foundation of genuine development. “Real growth begins at the grassroots,” he declares. “A state cannot be strong when its local governments are weak.”

If elected, K-RAD pledges to return local government funds in full, without deductions. Councils, he says, will be empowered to recruit their staff, manage primary healthcare and markets, maintain roads, and take charge of community security. Above all, he promises to institutionalise community-based budgeting and financial transparency.

“My administration will make local governments the engines of grassroots growth,” he says emphatically.

*Tourism and the Cultural Economy*

K-RAD’s eyes light up when the discussion turns to tourism. He sees Osun as a sleeping giant in Africa’s cultural landscape, rich in history, heritage, and creativity, yet grossly underutilised.

“Osun is a global cultural capital, from the Osun-Osogbo Grove to Erin-Ijesa Waterfalls, Ile-Ife, Igbajo, and beyond,” he says. “We must transform these treasures into engines of economic growth.”

His strategy includes improving infrastructure around tourist sites, building modern visitor facilities, providing digital access and security, and creating cultural festivals that promote Osun’s art, cuisine, music, and fashion.

He also plans to engage the private sector through concessions of hotels, parks, and event centres, while training young people as tour guides, artisans, and event planners.

“We will make Osun the cultural heartbeat of Africa where history meets opportunity,” K-RAD declares.

The vision, he explains, is to turn Osun into a creative hub that generates jobs, attracts investment, and projects the state’s identity to the world.

*Osogbo 2026 — Agitation and Aspiration*

As the 2026 governorship election draws near, many in Osogbo, the state capital, have voiced their desire to produce the next governor. But K-RAD takes a broader, more inclusive view.

“Every community has the right to aspire, and Osogbo is no exception,” he says thoughtfully. “The city has given leadership and stability to Osun for decades. That aspiration is legitimate.”

However, he insists that leadership must be built on merit, not sentiment. “What matters most,” he adds, “is capacity, competence, and vision. If the people of Osun believe I possess those qualities, then I am ready to serve not only Osogbo but every community from Ila to Iwo, from Ife to Ijesa.” “My aspiration is not about where I come from; it is about what I can deliver.”

*A Vision Rooted in Results*

K-RAD’s message is one of renewal, a call for Osun’s rebirth anchored in action, accountability, and measurable progress. His blueprint is ambitious yet grounded in practicality, and his tone carries the conviction of a man who believes that governance must translate into real change for ordinary people.

In the end, his vision is clear: a prosperous, self-sustaining Osun that harnesses its land, its people, and its culture to build a future worthy of its promise.
