Kano Appeal Court Judgement: Police Warn Supporters of APC and NNPP Against Protests, Assure Residents Of Safety

Police authorities in Kano State have warned residents concerning planned protests by supporters of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
There have been protests and prayers in the North-West State since the Appeal Court sacked Governor Abba Yusuf and declared APC’s Nasir Gawuna as the winner of the March 2023 governorship election.
But the latest warning from police authorities is ahead of the planned protests billed for Friday, 24th, and Saturday, 25th November, 2023.
The Police Command is issuing this warning to all residents of the State to be extra careful as whoever intends to conduct any protest or procession should do so only in accordance with the provisions of the law,” the spokesman of the Kano State Police Command Abdullahi Kiyawa said in an early Friday statement.
