Keyamo expresses happiness over Tinubu’s ministerial nominees
FCGs reports that the Spokesman for the dissolved APC Presidential Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo, has hailed the second batch of President Bola Tinubu’s ministerial nominees, saying they are excellent choices.
FCGs learnt that the former minister posted the congratulatory message via his official Twitter handle on Wednesday.
His tweet read, “The second batch of ministerial nominees by President Bola Tinubu @officialABAT are excellent choices. Congratulations to all of them. Wishing them God’s guidance in their various assignments.”
Keyamo has been serially trolled by online critics, who persistently mocked him and former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, after both campaign spokespersons failed to make the list of ministerial nominees.
The second batch of the list, which contained 19 nominees, was delivered on Wednesday to the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, by Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajiabiamila.
They included five former governors namely Gboyega Oyetola (Osun), Simon Lalong (Plateau), Bello Matawalle (Zamfara), and Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi).
Others were Abdullahi Gwarzo, Bosun Tijani, Maryam Shetty, Isiak Salako, Tunji Alausa, Yusuf Sununu, Ibrahim Geidam, Lola John, Shuaibu Audu, Tahir Mamman, Aliyu Abdullahi, Alkali Saidu, Heineken Lokpobori, Maigari Ahmadu and Zaphaniah Jisalo.
Tinubu had earlier forwarded a list of 28 nominees to the Senate for screening.
The upper chamber had on Monday screened former Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike; Abubakar Kyari (Borno); Nkiruka Onyejeocha (Abia State); Bello Muhammad (Sokoto); Sani Abubakar Danladi (Taraba); and Badaru Abubakar (Jigawa).
Others are Joseph Utsev (Benue), Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo (Ondo), Betta Edu (Cross River), Uju Kennedy Ohaneye (Anambra), Abubakar Momoh (Edo), John Enoh (Cross River), Iman Suleiman Ibrahim (Nasarawa), and Yusuf Maitama Tuggar (Bauchi).
In a similar fashion, the Senate on Tuesday screened ex-governors Nasir El-Rufai (Kaduna) and Dave Umahi (Ebonyi); Wale Edun, Uche Nnaji, Stella Okotete, Adebayo Adelabu, Ekperikpe Ekpo, Hannatu Musawa, and Musa Dangiwa.
Dele Alake, Lateef Fagbemi, Muhammad Idris, Ali Pate, and Doris Uzoka completed the list of screened nominees.
