Lady Found Abandoned on Roadside in Osun: Ritual Sacrifice Suspected in Osun

A woman, whose identity remains unknown, was discovered abandoned on the roadside at Olaiya, Osogbo, Osun State, on Tuesday. She is suspected to be a victim of ritual sacrifice, possibly linked to individuals known as “Yahoo boys.”
Witnesses noted that her behavior was erratic, leading to concerns that she may have been subjected to ritualistic practices. The woman was found lying helplessly on Asikolaye Street, unable to communicate or recognize anyone around her.
Local shopkeepers have formally reported the incident to the Dugbe Police Station in Old Garage, with assistance from their lawyer, Barrister K.A. Adebisi.
In a letter to the police, the business owners, represented by Mr. Sikiru Sanni of Samrad Property Agency and Mrs. Bamigbola (known as Mama Dada), urged prompt action regarding the situation.
The letter stated, “We are writing on behalf of the business owners and residents of Asikolaye Street, Olaiya Area, to inform you of a middle-aged woman who was discovered abandoned this morning, September 30, 2024. Our clients request immediate action to prevent any further issues.”
A local resident, who identified himself as Baba Lekan, recounted, “The lady must have been left there overnight. We didn’t see her before closing on Saturday, but she was there when we opened our businesses on Monday.”
He added, “She was well-dressed, but we believe she fell victim to those involved in internet fraud. It’s likely she was used in a money ritual.”
He urged the state government and relevant authorities to intervene and assist the woman in her time of need.
