Man Arrested for Inserting Scissors and Spoon into 8-Year-Old Girl’s Genitals
A 32-year-old man, Bashir Umar, has been arrested in Dutse LGA, Jigawa State, for inserting scissors and a spoon into the genitals of an eight-year-old girl.
According to police spokesman DSP Lawan Shi’isu Adam, Umar lured the girl into a restroom at a table water company, where he inflicted severe injuries on her, rendering her unconscious. Umar reportedly threatened to kill the child and her family if she told anyone about the abuse.
The suspect is now in custody at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID).
