Man Sentenced to Death for Killing Twins in Delta

Onuwa Olise Ijie has been sentenced to death for the ritualistic murder of seven-year-old twins, Chidalu and Chigozie Olise Agwunobi.
The prosecution presented five witnesses during the trial. The fifth witness, a 15-year-old named Iweka Ajie, testified via video link but refused to adopt his deposition on oath.
Justice Onome Marshall-Umukoro of the Delta State High Court in Asaba, the state capital, concluded that the testimonies of the five witnesses substantiated the case against Ijie beyond a reasonable doubt.
