MINIMUM WAGE TALKS: Private Sector Employers’ Stance
The Nigeria Employers Consultative Association (NECA), representing employers in Nigeria’s organised private sector, has called for adherence to the rule of law regarding the National Minimum Wage, in accordance with ILO Convention 131.
Addressing the matter in Lagos on Wednesday, NECA’s Director General, Oyerinde Adewale-Smart, emphasized that the document submitted by the tripartite committee to President Tinubu reflects a convergence of interests rather than a formal agreement.
