Ambassador Chief Ilesanmi Francis Olaniyi (IJOBA FEDERAL), a leading aspirant for the Osun East Senatorial seat under the APC, was formally appointed Patron of the Nigeria Union of Tailors, ‘Egbe Amunidara’, Ipetu Ijesa Chapter, during their anniversary event held on November 22, 2025, at the front of the union building.

In his address, Amb. Ilesanmi expressed deep appreciation to all members of the tailoring union. He thanked them for the honour, wished their children success in their various pursuits, and emphasised that he is genuinely happy to be associated with them. He assured the entire union of his continuous support and made it clear that their growth and progress remain important to him.

As a leading senatorial aspirant in Osun East, Amb. Ilesanmi’s visible impact and commitment across the district inspired the tailor’s union to make him their Patron.

During the ceremony, he announced a donation of ₦1 million to support the completion of the union’s building expansion.

He also promised to sponsor a special seminar featuring mechanised and modernised tailoring experts, who will train members on the latest methods in the tailoring profession. According to him, this upgraded knowledge will help tailors stay current, improve their craft, and better position themselves to work for influential clients. He encouraged the leaders of the union to meet with him to discuss how and when the seminar should take place so that preparations can begin.

The Nigeria Union of Tailors, Ipetu Ijesa Chapter, expressed great joy over the donation and the promise of a modernised training seminar.
They described the mechanised and updated sewing techniques he promised to introduce as a major boost that will help them keep up with current trends in fashion, especially for high-profile customers. The union members celebrated his generosity, appreciated his commitment to their advancement, and welcomed him warmly as their newly appointed Patron.
