No More Extensions for DE Registration, JAMB Announces; See closing date
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has confirmed that there will be no additional extensions for the 2024 Direct Entry (DE) registration beyond the June 17, 2024 deadline.Â
In a statement released on Wednesday, JAMB spokesperson Dr. Fabian Benjamin urged all candidates to take advantage of the remaining time to complete their registration.
Recently, JAMB extended the DE registration period to June 17, 2024, and introduced additional registration points beyond the JAMB-owned Professional Registration Centres (PRCs) in Lagos, Kwara, Osun, and Oyo States. This initiative aims to ensure that every eligible candidate has the opportunity to register.
The Board emphasized: “Eligible candidates wishing to register for the 2024 DE should utilize this opportunity as no further extensions will be considered. The public is also informed about the extra registration points and the low turnout at these facilities. Once the registration closes on June 17, 2024, there will be no further extensions.”
Additionally, JAMB announced that the 2024 Supplementary UTME will be held on June 21-22, 2024. Originally scheduled for June 22, 2024, the examination date was extended to include June 21, 2024, following the availability of the date from another examination body.
