Reacting to a formal memo of the Federal Ministry of Education, captioned Redeployment As Chairman, Governing Council, addressed to Makinde, dated 14 August 2025, personally signed by Dr Tunji Alausa, Hon. Minister of Education, and made available to MPT, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) CITA ENERGIES headlined the reassigned eminent Ife-born politician of the state All Progressive Congress (APC) extraction and erstwhile federal lawmaker, as a skilled navigator who would chart the perfect course for his new place of work.

According to Prince Ogungbangbe, a chieftain of APC in the state and Senate aspirant from Osun East Senatorial District, the redeployed former federal lawmaker who represented Ife Central Constituency, and now sits atop the Birnin Kebbi Federal Polytechnic, stands to make his invaluable familiarity with the development and implementation of policies available, essentially in shaping the polytechnic strategic direction.

Rotimi Makinde in leadership roles and decision-making, engagements with former constituents, colleague-lawmakers, and legislations, and insights into government operations, including management of budgets and allocations of resource, all of that, would help him navigate the complexities of governing his Polytechnic and tailor solutions to managing its innovations, plans, decisions and finances for institutional growth and, partnerships and collaborations for societal development.”

Ogungbangbe, the scion of the Ajagbusi Ekun, Owaloko Royal Dynasty of Iloko-Ijesa in Oriade local government council area of Osun stated that Makinde, a broadcasting mogul who owns Oodua FM 106.9MHz, is a glove that fits like a hand, the right person for the job of the federal polytechnic chairmanship.
