Oriade South Youth Hold Strategic Meeting Ahead of Voter Registration Exercise

In a bid to ensure massive youth participation in the upcoming Continuous Voter Registration (CVR), the Oriade South youth held a crucial meeting at the All Progressives Congress (APC) Secretariat, located within the Oriade Local Government headquarters in Iloro, Ipetu Ijesa.

The meeting, which took place ahead of the commencement of the voter registration exercise scheduled for July 18, for online registration, focused on creating effective strategies to ensure easy, fast, and crisis-free registration for youths across the LCDA.
Speaking during the session, the Oriade South LCDA Youth Leader, Comrade Alani, emphasized the critical role youth must play in shaping the future of the local government and the nation at large. He called on all youth to take the CVR exercise seriously, noting that voter cards are not just tools for voting, but also a symbol of civic responsibility.

Also in attendance was the Oriade Local Government Party Organizing Secretary,Ikupolati Akinwale, who reiterated the importance of unity among party members and youth, especially as all aspirants contesting various positions under the APC platform. He stressed the need to avoid internal conflicts and to work together for the progress of the party and the community.

The youth discussed several challenges associated with voter registration, such as network delays, limited access to registration centers, and lack of awareness. In response, they proposed practical solutions, including:
Creating awareness campaigns in schools, marketplaces, and religious centers.
Organizing transportation logistics to registration centers for youth in remote areas.
Setting up help desks across wards to assist with online pre-registration and inquiries.
The meeting ended with a strong call for unity, peace, and cooperation among all party members and stakeholders. The youth pledged their commitment to mobilizing their peers in a peaceful and coordinated manner while supporting all APC aspirants in the forthcoming elections.
