Osun 2026: We’II Partner Oyo State To Permanently Resolve Boundary Dispute If Elected Governor – Oyebamiji

… Promises Massive Communal Infrastructural Development
…as Oluwo of Iwo, Olu of Ile-Ogbo, Akire, others bless APC candidate
The Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the forthcoming governorship election in Osun State, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji popularly called AMBO has declared that his administration would partner with the Oyo state government and other relevant authorities to resolve all the political, administrative and legal incumbrances of the Osun/Oyo states boundary dispute when elected Governor.
Oyebamiji affirmed that his administration would invest largely in the communal infrastructural development to enhance local economy , productivity and and as well open up rural areas to urban centres when he becomes Osun Governor.
AMBO reassured the affected claimants whose properties, assets and personal belongings were demolished to pave way for the roads construction in Iwo and other parts of the state his avowed commitment to compensate them handsomely when elected Governor.
This is just as the revered traditional rulers – Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdul-Rasheed Adewale Akanbi, Olu of Ile-Ogbo, Oba Abeeb Agbaje and Akire of Ikire-Ile, Oba Abdul-Azeez Olatumbosun Adebamiji blessed Oyebamiji and his entourage wishing them success in the guber poll.
Recall that Oyebamiji’s campaign train had visited Oriade, Obokun, Ilesa-West, Ilesa-East, Atakumosa-East, Atakumosa-West, Ede-North, Ede-South, Egbedore, Ejigbo, Boripe, Odo-Otin, Ifelodun, Ila, Ifedayo and Boluwaduro Local Government Areas respectively.
Speaking at the palaces and venues of the campaign during the scheduled Iwo Federal Constituency comprising: Ayedire, Iwo and Ola-Oluwa Local Government Areas, on Thursday, Oyebamiji bemoaned the state of infrastructural development in the state, saying his administration would leave no stone unturned to declare state of emergency in the critical sectors of the economy.
Oyebamiji said his administration would give Osun a facelift of development across sectors of the economy most significantly infrastructural rebirth that would scale up the socioeconomic fortunes of the state for the betterment of the citizenry.
AMBO pledged that his government would focus more on urban intra and inter-cities renewal while giving ultimate priority to rural – communal infrastructural developments across the nooks and crannies of the state.
The APC governorship candidate who described Osun as a potentially gifted agrarian state said his administration would maximise and properly harnessed the endowed natural and mineral resources of the state for the advancement of Osun and her citizens if elected Governor.
While decrying the poor compensations given to the affected properties owners on some of the roads being constructed by the current government in the state, Oyebamiji promised to review the ‘peanuts” and duly compensate the affected claimants when he becomes a Governor.
“Let me reassure the everyone that due compensations to our people whose properties, assets and personal belongings were demolished by the current government in the state in order to pave way for their poorly constructed roads when elected Governor. We have taken cognizance of all these and we are irrevocably committed to deliver to our people the much desired change and transformation that would impact their lives meaningfully and raise the bar of governance in the state.
“We are going to run an all inclusive, participatory and masses-oriented government that would reflect citizens’ needs in the implementation of our policies and programmes. Our government would focus more on human capital development and infrastructural rebirth. We shall prioritise people’s security, welfare and general well-being above all while adequate attention would be given to all that matters to the growth, development, transformation and advancement of the cause of dear state and her citizens when elected Governor.
“As a serious minded party which is prepared to govern Osun with the fear of God and respect for human sanctity, our administration would change the narrative by investing hugely in communal infrastructural renaissance to boost local productivity, enhance farming potential and agri-business in the state.
“We will leave no stone unturned at opening up our rural communities to urban centres through massive infrastructural development across the nooks and crannies of the state. We are ready and prepared for the task ahead and I can promise our revered traditional rulers and the people of our dear state that no effort would be spared to achieve these lofty initiatives as soon as we ascend government”, Oyebamiji reassured.
Earlier, the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Ajibola Basiru canvassed the residents of the state to cast their votes for APC and the gubernatorial candidate of the party.
Senator Basiru, who lampooned the current government of Senator Ademola Adeleke of mismanaging the public funds accused the government of deceit in the management of the public treasury.
He berated the poor and substandard infrastructures under the current government decrying that there is no value for money under Adeleke’s government, a deficiency he said Oyebamiji’s government would correct when elected Governor.
“As you all know, our state resources had been badly mismanaged. No value for money. No value for the acruable resources particularly monthly allocation and other revenues coming to the state under the incumbent government. It is shocking that in spite of the obvious astronomical increment in the revenue to the state nothing to show for it. As of today, the tiers of government are smiling to banks – Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the president of our country has been fair to all. States and Local Governments are receiving multiple of what they used to get in terms of allocation presently, but Osun government has failed to justify this by all measures.
“We knew what the three tiers of government shared before the removal of subsidy and we know what they get now but quite unfortunate, Adeleke’s government has failed woefully to reflect the humongous resources at his disposal on the economy of the state and standard of living of the citizens hence our resolve to unseat him through ballot and elect the candidate of our party Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji AMBO to rescue our state from the drift of collapse”, he added.
In their separate royal blessings, Oluwo of Iwo Oba Abdul-Rasheed Adewale Akanbi, Olu of Ile-Ogbo Oba Abeeb Agbaje and Akire of Ikire-Ile Oba Abdul-Azeez Olatumbosun Adebamiji and other traditional rulers showered prayers on Oyebamiji and wished him victory in the forthcoming gubernatorial election.
The revered monarchs who identified some of the challenges facing their domains and subjects urged Oyebamiji to focus more on human capacity building and infrastructural development when elected Governor.
The Director General, Osun APC Governorship Campaign Council, Hon. Oluwole Oke commended the large crowds that received the governorship candidate and his entourage into their respective councils describing it “a good omen and assured path to governor’s office.”
He implored leaders and members of the party to begin door-to-door voter’s canvassing and mobilisation as the date of the election approaches.
