Explain Your Preference For Running Hoodlum-friendly Administration— Osun APC Tasks Adeleke

Ahead of the forthcoming 15th August, 2026 governorship election, the Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress APC has challenged the outgoing state Governor Ademola Adeleke who is also seeking re-election under the relatively unknown and verifiably unpopular Accord Party that he owes the people of the state an explanation for running a hoodlum-friendly administration since the inauguration of his government in November 2022.
Governor Adeleke who has been a stranger to his administration has largely depended on his siblings for the running of his government for lack of not knowing what to do with the government apparatus due to incompetence for such an exalted office.
For the mere fact that Governor Adeleke stepped into the blood of no fewer than 30 members and supporters of our party to forcefully win the 2022 governorship election, he thinks he has to maintain the tempo now in order for him to repeat the controversial political victory which he has been flaunting as a measure of his ability and superiority.
It would be recalled that Governor Adeleke was able to get away with his electoral terrorism that claimed so many lives in 2022 because he was having his allies in Abuja who wanted the former Governor Gboyega Oyetola now Minister of Marine and Blue Economy out of power by all means.
It is on record that despite the fact that about 30 of the APC members and supporters were killed by the then Peoples Democratic Party PDP thugs with the Ijesaland having the lion share of 17 of the victims, Governor Adeleke never for once condemned the extra-judicial killings of the opposition APC members.
The governor has been accusing the state commissioner of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Gotan, of not co-operating with him simply because the number one police officer in the state is professionally forthright without minding whose ox is gored.
The whole world would be surprised that the 2022 governorship election that secured the controversial and dubious victory for Governor Adeleke who is now seeking re-election was far from being free, fair, credible and inclusive as voting in both Ede and Owode, the strongholds of Adeleke, went on as far as 11 pm with the help of three rings of armed to the teeth security officers on guard.
It can not be easily forgotten how some of the political thugs linked to Governor Adeleke had a field day on the day of the election illegally scaring away potential voters away from the polling booths with corrosive chemical, guns, cutlasses, knives, cudgels and JuJu.
The basis of the ceaseless crying of the governor before the next election is because it would be pretty difficult for him to use the political thugs and pliable security officers to fraudulently win the election this time around.
It is pungent clear to the discerning minds who have been following the political development of the state that it is Governor Adeleke himself who laid a solid base for his imminent defeat as he has sidelined the credible chieftains and members of his party who immensely contributed to his pyrrhic victory now identifying with the opposition APC.
Governor Adeleke became power-drunk immediately the Supreme Court pronounced him the winner of the election in 2022 and started behaving like a drunken bull in a China shop, stepping on toes with relish, forgetting that the office of the state governor is tenured.
Now that the payback time is here, Governor Adeleke thinks that it is by romancing the thugs on the wanted list of the police that he can have his governorship crown back. The people of the state who have seen his incompetence in the past three years are tired of making the state a laboratory.
The detailed story of how Governor Adeleke has been plundering the state resources to the detriment of the even development of the state is a story for another day.
