Gunmen, believed to be kidnappers, have abducted Pastor Anthony Ebele from a Pentecostal Church in Ondo State.
The abduction occurred yesterday evening at the pastor’s farm on Yakubu Road, near Benin Camp in the Akure North local government area. While details of the incident remain unclear, a relative reported that the pastor was taken while working on his farm.
The kidnappers have contacted the victim’s family to demand a ransom, though the exact amount has not been disclosed. The family has reported the incident to the police.
Funmi Odunlami, the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), confirmed the abduction and stated that detectives have initiated an investigation. Odunlami noted, “On June 29th around 10 pm, Mr. Ogunjobi Adeyemi reported that his brother, who had gone to the farm, had not returned home. The complainant was expected to meet with the police this morning to assist in tracing the victim at the farm but did not show up.”
