Former Plateau State Governor and senior figure in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Jonah David Jang, has said the party remains steady and optimistic ahead of the 2027 general elections, despite the resignation of Governor Caleb Mutfwang from the PDP.
Reacting to the governor’s defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC), Jang, speaking through his media consultant, Clinton Garuba, on Friday, dismissed concerns that the move would weaken the party.
He urged PDP members and supporters across the state and beyond to stay calm, focused, and loyal to the party, stressing that the PDP’s structure and strength remain intact.
According to Jang, the party is well positioned for the future and will continue its preparations for the 2027 elections without distraction.
