Phyno Reveals Why Marriage Often Marks the Decline of Music Careers
He explained that the music industry is incredibly demanding, often leaving little room for other commitments, particularly marriage. According to Phyno, for many celebrities, getting married can lead to a decline in their professional success.
Phyno elaborated, saying:
“Look at it statistically, most artists see their careers falter after marriage. Music is a demanding field—almost like a jealous partner. That’s why some people drop out of school to fully pursue music. The ones who manage to balance both deserve a lot of credit, because it’s not easy. Sometimes, when an artist reaches a certain level of fame, they may return to school, but it’s always a choice between one or the other. Music takes up all your time.
“Also, music is deeply personal. What you write comes from your own life experiences—unless you’re using songwriters. You can’t sing about joy if your personal life is full of drama and stress.”
