Police Detain Suspect in Murder of 27-Year-Old in Gombe

The Gombe State Police Command has apprehended a 20-year-old suspect, Haruna Ibrahim, in relation to the murder of 27-year-old Auwalu Maigadali in the Akko Local Government Area.

 

According to Police Public Relations Officer ASP Buhari Abdullahi, the victim was attacked and killed by assailants on October 2, 2024. The police received reports of the incident from Kashere in Akko LGA, detailing the attack that took place in Tukulma Village.

 

Following the report, a patrol team from the Pindiga Division swiftly responded, transporting the victim to Tumu Cottage Hospital and arresting Ibrahim in connection with the crime. Authorities are actively pursuing additional suspects who remain at large.

 

The police have urged residents of Gombe State to remain vigilant and cooperate with law enforcement by reporting any suspicious activities.
