The Adamawa State Police Command has confirmed the tragic death of a police inspector who was fatally hit by a stray bullet during a routine patrol along the Song–Gombi Road in Song Local Government Area.
The incident occurred around 11:00 a.m. on May 25, 2025, during a stop-and-search operation carried out by officers from the Safer Highway Patrol unit. According to police sources, the patrol team had intercepted a tricycle passenger found in possession of a Dane gun and wearing civilian attire.
