Police Investigate Death of Couple in Ondo Apartment
The Ondo State Police Command is investigating the deaths of a man named Eric and his partner, who were found dead in an apartment in Ayeyemi, Ondo State, last Thursday.
Witnesses reported that the couple, found naked, had to be separated by a doctor. One witness mentioned, “The generator at their premises was still running, and a phone was charging from a socket on the bed. It’s possible they came into contact with a live wire, leading to electrocution.”
Relatives discovered the bodies after Eric did not respond to phone calls the next day. They looked through a window, saw the bodies, and broke down the door to gain entry.
Ondo Police spokesman Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya clarified, “The man and the woman were known to both their families as lovers. They were found dead in the room but were not stuck together. The cause of death is still unknown, and an investigation has commenced.”
