Prince Thomas Ogungbangbe Hails Appointment of Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda as APC National Chairman

The chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Prince Thomas Olaleye Ogungbangbe, has congratulated Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda on his emergence as the new National Chairman of the APC, describing the appointment as a bold step toward reform and innovation within the ruling party.
In a statement issued on Thursday through the Ogungbangbe Media Front (OMF), Prince Ogungbangbe said the choice of Prof. Yilwatda reflects the party’s readiness to embrace experienced, competent, and forward-thinking leadership.
According to the statement, “Prof. Yilwatda is a proven leader with a solid background in academia, digital systems, and public service. His emergence is a well-deserved recognition of his commitment to national development and political progress.”
Prince Ogungbangbe praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC National Executive Committee for what he described as “a thoughtful and strategic decision” in appointing Yilwatda, a former APC governorship candidate in Plateau State, to lead the party at the national level.
He expressed optimism that Prof. Yilwatda’s leadership would focus on strengthening grassroots engagement, promoting digital innovation within the party, and driving inclusive reforms that benefit all members across the country.
“His track record in humanitarian work and poverty alleviation positions him as the kind of leader the APC needs at this time to connect more effectively with the people,” the statement added.
Prince Ogungbangbe further assured the new chairman of the full support of Nigerians and members of the progressive family, pledging continued cooperation as the party moves toward unity and stronger internal structures ahead of future elections.
“We wish Prof. Yilwatda a successful tenure and pray for wisdom, strength, and the guidance needed to lead the party to greater heights,” the statement concluded.
