Rangers news: Robin Propper update emerges amid new …
Robin Propper is likely to miss the FC Twente v RB Salzburg clash on 6 August as Rangers have reached an agreement to sign him, according to Soccer News NL.
The news outlet reported on 31 July that Gers are hoping to conclude the deal quickly to sign the Dutch centre-back.
Everything has been agreed between the two clubs and the deal is now subject to a medical. [De Telegraaf, 31 July]
Rangers should announce the signing of Robin Propper in the coming days
Propper’s imminent arrival at Ibrox comes as Gers look to strengthen their defensive options following the departure of Connor Goldson.
The 30-year-old will bring a wealth of experience and leadership qualities to the team, having captained Twente and demonstrated consistent performances in the Eredivisie.
The quick agreement on the transfer also suggests that the Ibrox outfit are keen to integrate the Dutchman into the squad as soon as possible, with the club likely to announce the signing in the coming days.
This would allow Propper to settle in and potentially be available for selection in upcoming fixtures, including the UEFA Champions League qualifiers.
Qualifying for Europe’s elite cup competition will do wonders financially for the Ibrox outfit and they need to ensure that they can secure a spot in it.

Hopefully, there are no further snags or last-gasp hijacks and the deal can go ahead without any issues.
In other Rangers news, a £3million development has emerged as Gers want to secure the services of Lawrence Shankland.
