Reason Peter Obi should wait till 2039 to have chance of becoming President – Bwala
Senator Daniel Bwala, a former lawmaker, has suggested that Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 election, has a potential path to the Nigerian presidency in 2039. According to Bwala, President Bola Tinubu will complete two terms, after which power will shift to the north for eight years before returning to the south.
Bwala shared his views in a post on his X handle on Monday, stating that power would not return to the south until 2039. He commented: “Peter Obi’s opportunity to become Nigeria’s president arises in 2039, when he will be 79 years old or older. By then, his appeal would shift from ‘vote for me because I am the younger candidate’ to ‘vote for me because age doesn’t define capability.'”
He explained further: “After @officialABAT’s two terms, power will shift to the north for another eight years before coming back to the south. The enthusiastic youth supporters of today will have aged and might be saying ‘we are the elders’ by then. Wishing everyone a blessed week a
head.”
