Remi Tinubu Urges Nigerian Youths to Embrace Hard Work: “No Food for the Lazy”

First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has urged Nigerian youths to adopt a strong work ethic, declaring that “there is no food for the lazy man.” She shared this message during a visit to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, in Ile-Ife, Osun State.

Mrs. Tinubu emphasized that while the current administration is focused on developing sustainable solutions to the nation’s challenges, individuals must also take initiative in securing their own livelihoods. She reassured citizens of the government’s commitment to not let them down and called for patience as they strive for progress.

She remarked, “Just as God worked for six days and rested on the seventh, we too must put in the effort. Nigeria is rich in opportunities, and it’s essential that we cultivate them for future generations.”

Reflecting on her family’s blessings, she noted, “We are grateful for what we have. With just two years into our administration, we are dedicated to addressing the challenges we face.”

Mrs. Tinubu expressed optimism that other nations are eager to partner with Nigeria, acknowledging the current government’s accountability. She also highlighted ongoing efforts to stabilize the economy and enhance living standards after the removal of fuel subsidies.

During her visit, the Ooni praised the First Lady’s commitment and recognized the government’s initiatives aimed at improving the nation. The event also marked the inauguration of the 2.7-kilometre Oluremi Tinubu Way and Pavilion at Obafemi Awolowo University, a project dedicated to her by the monarch.
