See How Fire Destroys Ogun Trailer Park

Fire
A fire broke out late Saturday night at the Obasanjo Trailer Park in Ogere, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State, destroying a tanker and several makeshift shops.

Our reporter, who visited the site on Sunday, learned that the fire started around 11 PM on Saturday.
The blaze reportedly began in one of the shops before spreading to a truck undergoing repairs in the park.
An eyewitness, who identified himself as Musa, told our reporter that it was the collective effort of the park’s occupants that managed to contain the fire.
He recounted, “The fire started around 11 PM when we were already asleep. I heard a loud explosion, and before we knew it, there was a fire.”
“People around used buckets to fetch water from the gutter to extinguish the fire because there were no firefighters nearby,” he added.
