A Nigerian known as Lucky, who recently returned $14,000 mistakenly sent to him by a crypto trader, has explained his actions, citing his faith as the reason for his honesty.

Earlier today, the story of Lucky, whose real name is Akinola Femi, gained widespread attention. The crypto trader, Rafael Avey, had shared a video of his call with Lucky, expressing gratitude for the returned funds.
Akinola Femi, a chemical engineering graduate from FUT Minna, recounted that the trader had accidentally transferred 100 Solana worth $14,000 instead of the intended 10 Solana worth $100. Upon realizing the mistake, Avey requested the return of the excess 90 Solana, which Akinola promptly refunded.
Explaining his actions, Akinola said, “I couldn’t keep the money; it’s not mine. I’m a child of God.” This display of integrity has earned him significant praise.
Akinola also expressed gratitude towards his pastor, crediting him with teaching the value of honesty. He shared his Twitter handle, emphasizing his happiness and his desire to highlight that there are still honest Nigerians in
the world.
