See the Millions of Naira Bail, Court Grants to 10 #EndBadGovernance Protesters

The Federal High Court in Abuja has set bail at N10 million each for ten individuals accused of threatening President Bola Tinubu’s administration by allegedly attacking government infrastructure during the #EndBadGovernance protests. This brings the total bail amount to N100 million.
Justice Emeka Nwite issued the bail order on September 11, 2024, the day previously scheduled for the ruling.
The protesters, including Michael Tobiloba Adaramoye and nine others, faced charges related to their participation in the nationwide demonstrations, which took place on September 2, 2024.
During the court session on Wednesday, Justice Nwite accepted the defendants’ arguments regarding bail. He approved N10 million bail per person, requiring each defendant to provide one surety for the same amount. The sureties must own property in Abuja and present the relevant documentation to the court.
