See the Number of Bandits Killed, 109 Stolen Animals Recovered in Katsina Operation

A joint security operation involving the Katsina State Police Command has led to the elimination of seven suspected bandits and the recovery of 109 stolen animals.
The operation took place on Saturday morning in Ruwan Doruwa village, located in the Dutsinma Local Government Area of Katsina State.
According to a statement from the police spokesperson, DSP Abubakar Aliyu, the operation was a response to a bandit attack on Ruwan Doruwa. The police, in coordination with the military, Department of State Services (DSS), local security groups, and vigilantes, quickly mobilized to the scene.
The bandits, armed with AK-47 rifles, had launched a surprise attack on the village. However, the security forces engaged the bandits in a fierce gunfight, which resulted in the death of seven bandits. The remaining attackers fled, leaving behind 61 cows, 44 sheep, two donkeys, one goat, and one dog that had been stolen during the raid.
The Commissioner of Police for Katsina State, CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa, praised the officers for their bravery and professionalism during the operation. He reaffirmed the command’s commitment to safeguarding the public and urged citizens to continue supporting law enforcement by providing useful information to combat crime in the state.
