See the Number of Flood Victims that Receive Aid as NEMA Distributes Food Supplies

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has announced that over 611,000 flood victims across 29 states have received food aid, following directives from President Bola Tinubu.
On Thursday, September 5, during a briefing organized by the National Security Adviser’s office in Abuja, NEMA reported distributing 42,000 metric tonnes of food commodities to those affected by the floods.
Abdullahi Maiwada, speaking for the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), detailed the devastating impact of the floods: 201 lives lost, 2,119 people injured, and 83,457 homes damaged. The floods have impacted 154 local government areas, displaced 225,169 individuals, and affected 115,265 hectares of farmland.
NEMA continues to coordinate relief efforts, addressing the widespread damage and providing support to those in need.
