See the Number of Terrorist Killed as NAF Operations Eliminate 5 Terrorist Leaders in Borno

The Nigerian Air Force announced on Wednesday that its Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai carried out a successful airstrike on August 16, 2024, in Arina, Southern Tumbuns, Borno State. The operation resulted in the deaths of key terrorist commanders, including Munzir Arika and Sani Dilla, among others.
Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, Director of Public Relations and Information, reported that the airstrikes were part of a targeted effort to diminish the capabilities of terrorist remnants in the Northeast while ensuring the safety of civilians and military personnel.
He explained that prior intelligence had detected the covert movement of terrorists into the area from neighboring regions. Follow-up surveillance missions on August 12 and 15 further confirmed the presence of numerous terrorists and hidden structures.
The resulting coordinated airstrikes effectively engaged the targets, leading to the neutralization of multiple terrorists and the destruction of their infrastructure. The damage assessment revealed the obliteration of various equipment, vehicles, watercraft, and a suspected medical facility.
Intelligence indicated that among those affected were five prominent terrorist leaders, including Munzir Arika, Sani Dilla (Dan Hausawan Jubillaram), Ameer Modu, Dan Fulani Fari Fari, and Bakoura Arina Chiki, along with over 35 additional militants.
This successful operation has significantly impaired the operational strength of the remaining terrorists in the region. The Nigerian Air Force remains dedicated to supporting the broader efforts of the Armed Forces of Nigeria and other security agencies to maintain peace and security in the area.
