Singer Portable’s Sister Reveals that Portable Is Under the Influence of a Family Member’s Spell

Gbemisola, the elder sister of Nigerian musician Portable, has claimed that her brother is being spiritually manipulated by a family member, which has contributed to his recent troubles.

This statement came in the wake of Portable’s ongoing legal issues with the Ogun state government. The state authorities arraigned him on Thursday for allegedly assaulting officials from the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development. Portable, who is currently in hiding, was charged alongside nine of his associates before the Abeokuta Magistrates’ Court.

From his hideout, the singer denied the charges, urging the government to release his associates and claiming that he was being “set up” by certain individuals. He also challenged the authorities to provide video evidence of the alleged assault, while warning that he might take drastic actions due to the overwhelming frustration he was facing.

In a video that went viral on social media platform X, Gbemisola offered an apology on behalf of her brother for his controversial behavior. She explained that one of their family members, identified as Akeem, is using spiritual means to influence Portable’s actions, which has led to his erratic behavior.

“Greetings to everyone in Nigeria. I am Portable’s eldest sister, the first child of his mother. We are just three siblings born to our mother,” Gbemisola began in the video.

She continued, “Portable has never been involved in theft. I have never spoken out like this, and he has never posted about me, despite being his sister. But it’s only him who supports the family. If not for him, I would not have survived my illness.”

She further accused Akeem of casting a spell on her brother, which she believes is causing Portable to act in ways that upset the public.
