Sokoto Police Fix March 9 for Constable Recruitment Screening

The Nigeria Police Force in Sokoto State has announced that screening for applicants seeking recruitment as police constables will begin on March 9, 2026.
According to the Sokoto State Police Command, the physical and credential verification exercise will run from March 9 to April 18, 2026. The screening will take place daily from 7:00 a.m. at the Command Headquarters located on Gwandu Road, Sokoto.
In a statement released on Thursday by the Police Public Relations Officer, Ahmad Rufai, applicants who successfully completed the online registration process were advised to log in to the official recruitment portal to check their application status and print the required screening documents.
Candidates are expected to attend strictly on the date specified on their invitation slip and present all necessary documents arranged in two white flat files. Required documents include the application slip, physical screening form, invitation slip, credential screening form, National Identity Number printout, O’Level result, birth certificate or age declaration, and certificate of local government or state of origin. Specialist applicants are also to submit trade test results and a completed guarantors’ form with attached passport photographs.
Applicants must appear at the venue dressed in white canvas shoes, white T-shirts, white shorts, and white stockings.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Ahmed Musa, emphasized that the recruitment process is entirely free of charge and cautioned the public against paying money to anyone in connection with the exercise. He urged candidates to cooperate with officials and come fully prepared to ensure a smooth screening process.
