The lecture, titled:

“The Role of Traditional Rulers in Constitutional Democracy in Nigeria,”

📍 Venue: Osun State University Main Auditorium (The Olagunsoye Oyinlola Auditorium), Osogbo

🗓 Date: Monday, 15th September 2025

According to the Anniversary Planning Committee, the choice of Kunle Rasheed Adegoke (SAN)—fondly called KRAD—is a testament to his fearless advocacy for equity, justice, and constitutionalism.

“KRAD is a voice of conscience in our national discourse. His lecture will shed light on how traditional rulers can remain indispensable stakeholders in strengthening Nigeria’s democracy,” the Committee stated.

His Royal Majesty, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun, Larooye II, who ascended the throne in 2010, has led Osogbo with wisdom and vision over the last 15 years. His reign has been marked by peace, cultural pride, and socio-economic development, earning him wide respect across Osun State and beyond.

The lecture is expected to attract dignitaries, traditional rulers, academics, political leaders, and members of the general public, making it one of the highlights of the coronation anniversary celebrations.ulers and Democracy
