Kano Commissioner Mourns Tragic Loss of Three Family Members in Fire Outbreak
In a tragic incident early Wednesday morning, Dr. Yusuf Kofar-Mata, the Kano State Commissioner for Higher Education, lost three family members in a devastating fire at his residence in the Kofar-Mata quarters of Kano city.
The fire, which broke out while the family was asleep, resulted in the deaths of Dr. Kofar-Mata’s daughter, Maimuna; his elder sister, Khadija; and a close relative, Juwairiyya.

The funeral prayers for the deceased were held at 11 a.m. at Kofar-Mata quarters in Kano City.
