Tricycle Driver Kills Mother and Mutilates Son in Ritual Attack in Abia

A tricycle driver, Amadi Alozie, has reportedly killed his mother and severely injured his son in a suspected ritualistic attack in the Umudosi community of Obingwa Local Government Area, Abia State.

According to local sources, the incident occurred around 10 p.m. when the mother intervened to save her grandson from a brutal assault by his father, who had mutilated the boy. The child’s screams attracted his grandmother, who attempted to protect him.

In a violent outburst, the tricycle driver attacked his mother with a machete, killing her before neighbors could intervene.

A community member revealed that the tricycle driver’s attempt to flee ended in his fall into a pit, leading to his capture. The injured boy, who has lost his private part, is currently in critical condition at a local hospital, fighting for his life.
