A conversation between a Nigerian man and his girlfriend, which has recently gone viral, highlights the man’s reaction to her request for N250,000 monthly from his N800,000 salary.
The chat, which surfaced on social media, has ignited widespread discussion. In the leaked exchange, the girlfriend, who was previously receiving N80,000 a month, demanded an increase to N250,000 after learning of her boyfriend Kunle’s monthly salary.
She expressed her dissatisfaction with her current allowance, stating:
“I’m really upset. Kunle, you earn N800,000 a month and only give me N80,000. Is that fair? I need an increase. N80,000 isn’t enough. I want it raised to N250,000. No negotiation. I’m disgusted.”
Kunle’s response was blunt and defensive:
“Ask your father or your brothers for N250,000 monthly. They can’t provide it either. Your sense of entitlement is outrageous and your lack of consideration is infuriating. Tell me what you’ve contributed to my life. Your entitlement and lack of understanding are frustrating.”
