A local wine shop’s CCTV captured a woman stealing a mobile phone from the store attendant. The incident took place in the afternoon.
The surveillance video shows the woman acting as a customer, expressing interest in purchasing a specific bottle of wine. When the attendant turned to retrieve the bottle from the shelf, the woman quickly grabbed the phone from the counter and slipped it into her bag.
The shop attendant, oblivious to the theft, continued to assist the woman. The missing phone was only noticed later, leading to a review of the CCTV footage which revealed the theft.
The shop owner is offering a ₦50,000 reward for information leading to the thief’s identification. If you recognize the woman or have any details, please contact the local authorities.
